The history of our family business
Initially, we were general contractor in the field of major civil and accounting works in a multinational retail company. With our 3 children, running the business and the crazy time spent in our travels, our schedule was simply demented. One day we did what many people dream of to do, that is, to change your life. We then liquidated the business, quit our jobs and sold our house to embark head first on a new adventure, that of becoming winegrowers. From this moment, our passion has become our profession.
OUR CULTURE
In constant evolution
Since 2018, we have been working organically in our vineyards. It was three years later that we obtained our official certification, in 2021! But for us, the cultivation of our vines did not stop there. We have deepened our viticultural techniques by opting for agro-environmental practices. That is to say, we make our own compost and our fungicides with plants that we grow right in the vineyard. In addition to its new practices in our vineyards, we are strongly interested in electro-culture. This consists of stimulating the growth of our vines by subjecting them to magnetic fields, which allows them to strengthen themselves in order to protect themselves against pests and diseases. All this, always with the aim of having a better harvest, in quantity and quality!
PLANTING CONTINUES
The vineyard now on two lands
For several years now, we have wanted to acquire new land in order to plant new vines. After a long time of research, we finally found it! Located on the north side of the island, with a beautiful hillside plunging towards the river, it was the perfect land for us! We have planted 3.8 hectares of Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir there, all organically grown.
WE DISTILLE!
A father & son project
For five years now, our winemaker Louis and his son Charles have started a common project, that of distilling our grape marc! Our eau-de-vie is made in the same way as Grappa in Italy, but this time, 100% Quebec and organic! To this product is added this year an artisanal gin made from our eau-de-vie, macerated with local herbs, one of the first 100% local and organic gin made in Quebec!
WE MAKE CIDER
Another family project
Being located on an island where there are a lot of apples, in addition to being a sparkling cider lover and passionate about winemaking, all the ingredients were there to produce our own cider! In order to add a personalized touch, we macerate our various ciders with our grape marc, in particular Pinot Gris, Riesling and Marquette!
